Pondmaster UV lights are an excellent choice for koi ponds on a responsible budget.

Many pond enthusiasts do not fully understand the purpose of an ultraviolet light. UV lights are designed to kill pathogens from the water column that contribute to disease making pond water healthier. The added benefit is that they also kill phytoplankton algae that causes green water or "pea soup". Properly sizing your UV light is essential to the purpose it is intended. Please follow the chart below to size it to your pond.

Tip!

Flow rate is very important!!! If you flow water too fast, it is completely ineffective.
Dwell time is kill time, so if your flow rate is more than recommended, please install a bypass system. If you don't know how, please call us.
