Description

The number one cause of pump failure is overheating, often caused by running while not fully submerged or while blocked, voltage spikes and brownouts. Regardless of the cause, Atlantic’s Pump Protector will automatically shut off the water pump before it can be damaged. Unlike water level sensors and built-in thermal protectors, which allow pond and waterfall pumps to repeatedly overheat, the TidalWave Pump Protector electronically monitors power fluctuation caused by adverse running conditions. When the current change exceeds either of two pre-set levels, power to the pump is cut off until physically reset, no cycling on and off, no overheating. The TidalWave Pump Protector installs and calibrates easily to all 120V direct drive pumps drawing up to 14 amps. Not for use with asynchronous or mag drive pumps.
