This food may contain wheat beetles. Wheat beetles are about the size of a pinhead and are not harmful to your koi. They are an excellent source of protein and according to Tom Core, the owner of Koi Care Kennel, they are like enjoying a tasty candy. We will not accept any returns on this product whatsoever. Columbia Water Gardens suggests that you vaccume seal this food on arrival for optimum shelf life, and according to the manufacturer, you should expect as long as 4 years from the manufacture date.
Wheat Beetles are a normal thing to find in sinking food because in the manufacturing process the food is not super heated. This preserves the maximum nutritional value.
Do not feed this medicated koi food at water temperatures under 55 Degrees.
