Columbia Water Gardens is looking for hardworking individuals to join our crew. We don’t just move dirt—we build ecosystem ponds, waterfalls, and custom outdoor lighting.
What you’ll be doing:
Pond & Water Feature repairs (finding leaks, fixing pumps).
Hardscaping (moving rocks, setting stone).
Installing high-end outdoor lighting.
General site labor (grading, trenching, heavy lifting).

The construction laborer performs tasks involving intensive physical labor to build water features. The position lifts heavy rock, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the construction of water features
- Excavation of pond
- Hook up plumbing, BioFalls and skimmer
- Install liner and underlayment
- Rock in pond
- Build waterfall
- Install underwater lighting
- Wash rocks and fill pond
- Trim and hide liner, bring in top soil, and mulch
- Thoroughly clean area
- Assist with loading and unloading work trucks with product and tools
- Perform any other tasks as assigned
- Communicate with customers in a friendly and helpful manner
- Discuss pond maintenance
- Suggest additional features and product
- Assist service department during busy seasonal times
- Perform pond maintenance and repairs
- Report maintenance issues with vehicles and machines
- Maintain and keep correct inventory of tools
- Keep trailer, vehicles, and construction area neat and organized
- Comply with company safety policy, procedure, and practices
- Participate in company events
- Special projects as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 18-years or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Available to work Monday – Friday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Normal work schedule is Tuesday-Friday 8-6
- Some weekend work required throughout the year
- Ability to travel to multiple site locations to meet the needs of the business
- Able to lift up to 85 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, stoop and squat throughout an 8-12 hour shift
- Willing to get hands dirty and work outside under adverse weather conditions
- Safety-conscious
- Good communication skills
- Ideal candidate will be creative, self-motivated, able to follow direction and a team player
- Knowledge of pond industry a plus but not required
- Must maintain a professional attitude, protect the company culture, and dress presentable in work attire
