One of the easiest ways to help maintain healthy water conditions in a large pond or small lake is to effectively aerate the water. The main advantage of the AirMax system over other styles of aerators, such as aerating fountains, is that air is injected into the water at the full depth of the pond. With an aerating fountain, typically the aeration only occurs in the top few feet near the surface. By aerating near the bottom and allowing the air to travel up through the water column, the AirMax systems areates the full depth of the water, not just the surface.
